So, you want to work with us. For god's sake why? You're not alone. We often get emails asking for jobs. Sometimes we even read them! And sometimes we're too lazy busy to read them. Sigh. Nevermind, here are a few tips to help you get over the first hurdle.
Tip #1: Address us personally. Just remember, Wayne is the nice one and Brooke can not be bothered.
Tip #2: If you're so good then show us why you think you are the next ................................................... (insert famous designer name).
Tip #3: Just so we know you've read this, put "This is a job application and Wayne is the nice one" in the subject area of all job related emails. Thanks.
Are you a creative type who loves, er ... type?
Or someone quite good with computers?
Add these to your application cover letter thing;
-- Why do you want to work with us?
-- Why should we want to work with you?
-- What do you know about us?
-- Where did you hear about us?
-- Are you an ideas person? Then show us how good they are. Keep it all looking beautiful, but make sure it's sharp too.
Do you like to wear suits?
Personally I like bear suits but that's not what we mean here. This is what you should include in your letter;
-- What do you know about us?
-- Where did you hear about us?
-- How will you help our clients?
-- How will you grow our business?
-- Why would you want to work with us?
-- What makes you so special?
