Shaggy-Doo-Beats book design

Charles Crompton is a local spoken word performer and poet. Based on Charles’ alter ego “Shaggy-Doo-Beats”, this book is a collection of works performed at “Beat Route”, a spoken word and jazz night held at the Cargo Club during the late 1990’s. This is an 84 page, full colour book with spot UV varnish on the cover. It features art works and clippings from the time that the original Beat Route was running. Shaggy-Doo-Beats is still wowing the late night cats at a new edition of Beat Route held once a month at Dragonfly Bar in the city. Dig that crazy vibe... TOP

Cultural Strategy - publication design

This project demonstrates how lavish and cost effective printing in only two colours can be when handled by an experienced and professional designer. Scend recently delivered the City of Playford's Cultural Strategy document. Playford has many cultural organisations and artists directly involved in delivering arts and cultural services. These people contribute to the vitality and cultural life of their community. Developing a Cultural Strategy recognises the valuable contribution of Playford’s cultural organisations and acknowledges the important role arts and culture have in creating a vibrant and diverse community. Privacy and confidentiality A5 information booklet produced for people who are receiving mental health care from public mental health services. It is also for family members and friends who are supporting a person through an illness. Privacy and sharing information in mental health care is like a balancing act. On one side are the rights to privacy for a consumer, where it’s important that personal information is kept in confidence. On the other side, high quality mental health care depends on the ‘effective’ sharing of treatment information, so that the different people and services involved in a consumer’s care know how to best support that person.
